Apple St. Studio
On May 28, 2021, I purchased a neglected, partially dilapidated former Hollygrove dance studio at the corner of Apple and Joliet (pronouced ‘Jolly-yet’) streets. As of today (March 12, 2026), we are well into the second of three-ish phases to renovate the building into the home of my dreams. Those dreams include having a home that’s highly customized to me, but is also in service to those around me.
There is so much to tell. I would like to fill this section with a timeline and stories of the over-four-year process (so far) it’s taken to get we’re at.
